We were moving into our new apartment on the tenth, so we couldn't do anything then, but I still coudn't resist dressing her up like a dolly and getting some pictures. We were able to get her sitting in her chair for half a second to get this, this is her official one year old picture.
A few days later I was able to get this picture, I just love, love her little smile, it just makes me want to give her a big hug. she was having fun "helping" me unpack boxes, and I tell you what, she would unpack them, allright, all over the place!! but it kept her busy and happy while I tried to make the place livable.
So on the 24, we were able to, finally, throw her a birthday party. Her Grandma Bingham, Grandma and Grandpa Comeau came, and of course Mom and Dad. She had fun opening presents, (it didn't take her long to remember how to rip the paper!!) and of course we had to spend time between each present to see how it worked, tasted, threw, . . . etc.
Getting a couple of hanger were some of the funnest presents, it was lotsa fun taking them out and putting them back into the box, go figure.
I made little individual cakes for everyone and attempted to decorate them. They all came out looking pretty lopsided and messy looking, but they tasted pretty good, so I guess that is what is important. Annelise was mesmerised with the candle, but didn't quite get the point of blowing them out! She really liked the happy birthday song, her little eyes just lit up when everyone was singing just to her!!
Now eating the cake was another fun experience, I think she smeared more everywhere than she raeally ate!
This is just the aftermath, before I rushed her to the tub and gave her a quick bath!
And of course, when ner face and lips are the absolute messiest, someone, (I won't mention names, MOM) got her started on blowing rasberries, big wet blue ones!
